Alisa Wiebe was born and raised in Winnipeg in a family home filled with music. She took piano and violin lessons from a young age and found her musical niche when she joined what is now known as Pembina Trails Voices. She holds a Bachelor of Musical Arts from Canadian Mennonite University and a Bachelor of Education from the University of Manitoba. Alisa teaches choir, vocal jazz, and fiddle at Collège Garden City Collegiate. In addition to her teaching, Alisa conducts the Pembina Trails Voices Boys Choir and sings with the Winnipeg Singers. She has enjoyed recent experiences of working with CMCA and EMCA Junior High Choirs and adjudicating at ChoralFest and the SouthEastern Manitoba Festival. When she's not making music, you might find her in the woods, hiking or cross country skiing with her husband.
