In 2016, IYC had its inaugural event. We had 30 singers at Camp Arnaz, singing two concerts, one in Tuelon, the other in Selkirk, with follow ups at the MCA gala and our reunion fundraising concert. We are very proud of everyone who participated, and look forward to our future as a part of the Interlake choral scene.

Scott Reimer - Director 2016

Scott Reimer grew up in a family with a strong choral tradition. Since moving to Winnipeg from the Gretna area, he has enjoyed a wealth of choral experience, having sung with many premier choirs, most notably the Winnipeg Singers, Canzona, Camerata Nova, National Youth Choir and the World Youth Choir. He has conducted within the Prairie Voices Inc. organization, is a member and cofounder of the a cappella group Antiphony, and Polychoro. He also works as a choral arranger, composer, clinician, and teacher.

Beth Emmers - Accompanist 2016
Beth grew up in Lethbridge, Alberta and has been playing piano since she could reach the keys. She became involved in any musical experience she could find including; musical theater, festivals, chamber choir, jazz choir, and church choirs. Beth studied jazz piano at Humber College in Toronto, Ontario. After college she moved to Utah and met her husband, Jason, and is now a busy mother of 4 beautiful girls. She keeps busy writing, arranging, accompanying choirs, teaching group piano classes and is the music coordinator for her church across Manitoba
